چکیده
We present a new type of feedback linearization that is tailored for mechanical control systems. call it linearization. Its basic feature the preservation structure system. For systems with scalar control, we formulate necessary and sufficient conditions are verifiable using differentiations algebraic operations only. illustrate our results several examples.

Feedback linearization of Single - Input and Multi - Input Control System ?
A new algorithm is proposed for computing locally the linearizing output of single-input and multi-input nonlinear affine system. The algorithm modifies the extended Goursat normal form to iteratively obtain the successive integrations of one dimensional distributions of control system. The algorithm takes ideas from both vector field approach of feedback linearization and exterior differential...
متن کاملOutput Feedback Variable Structure-like Control of Nonlinear Mechanical Systems
In this paper, we develop a new output feedback, variable structure-like (discontinuous) tracking controller for a class of uncertain, nonlinear, multiinput multi-output, mechanical systems whose dynamics are Þrst-order differentiable. A novel Þlter design and Lyapunov-type stability analysis are used to prove semi-global asymptotic tracking. As a by-product of the proposed framework, we also p...
متن کاملUniform Global Position Feedback Tracking Control of Mechanical Systems
We establish, as far as we know, the first proof of uniform global asymptotic stability for a mechanical system (Euler-Lagrange) in closed loop with a dynamic controller which makes use only of position measurements. The controller is fairly simple, it is reminiscent of the so-called PadenPanja controller [20] where unavailable generalized velocities are replaced by approximate differentiation ...
متن کاملFractional Order Control of Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems
This paper addresses the problem of the fractional sliding mode control (FSMC) for a MEMS optical switch. The proposed scheme utilizes a fractional sliding surface to describe dynamic behavior of the system in the sliding mode stage. After a comparison with the classical integer-order counterpart, it is seen that the control system with the proposed sliding surface displays better transient per...
